Both are Awesome and both are difficult to learn if you wanna be advance developer and both are high paying job if you mastered on it.
@copy to Pandey answer, But I prefer you first go for web dev. and then shift to app development.
In terms of pure scope – web dev has higher demand and will have.
Difficultly in learning – Don’t worry about it. You can switch it up easily with tools like React, React Native -> it is at most a week’s work to switch if you are confident and know your way around. I even tried Flutter and found really easy.
Salary – depends -very much
Job offers – Currently web dev but mobile is not bad either. Both high demand
Work load – depends on the complexity of the app you are building and company, project you work on
Time to learn – Depends on how much time you spend learning, your background and resources, projects

You’ve missed an important point-: Competition. There is less competition in app development, even less in iOS development. So if you know app development, you’re almost guarenteed to have a job and job security.
Web dev has more people more competition, THUS LESS AVERAGE SALARY. You are more replaceable in web dev than in android dev/iOS dev.
Both app and web dev are similar difficulty in learning. Workload is both are harassed to death Time to learn is same.
With things like react native and flutter I don’t think it is either or situation. If you are an client web application developer, you will also be expected to fulfil the duty of mobile app development. Unfortunately most companies don’t want to invest on native SDK development for mobile side, so it is better to learn both.
