in the past(before few months), I could not even tolerate any english content in youtube. But slowly, I am getting interested in it and I’m realizing that they’re not that bad. My main issue was ofc language(i know english but I process English very slowly when I’ve to hear and I like to play movies in background or any content in background).
How do I start watching English movies, hollywood, or whatever. Any foreign web series? I started money heist, I just could not get entertained, relate…They try to show sex to keep me, but I don’t watch movie to see sex. I watch it for content…Shaswank redemption I liked that though…I tried few others shutter island, SEVEN but failed to enjoy any of them.
Ok in this case what you can do is start watching movies with simpler english and not fast-paced or complex english. Some of the movies that you can go with is:
– Jurassic Park
– The Shawshank Redemption
– Twilight
and for TV Shows go with either:
– Friends
– Office
These content has fairly simpler language used and is easier to understand. Hope this helps !
I don’t like things that’re long and need long focus. Like breaking bad…it is like 100 episodes or sth..I am just not that good with english.
Well you can watch it at your own pace. Understand that you are watching something just for yourself and not others and in that case customize what fits perfectly for you. You might want to watch one episode today and next maybe few days later or just another week. Just take it slowly and you will see a gradual improvement in your English.
Expose yourself to more English contents, find relatable and lovely English songs, YouTube channels; follow the artists and then watch movies with subtitles; slowly stop using subtitles. Not following trendy movies and series but watching popular series and movies of your favorite genre that has simple English language might help you keep interested.
At first you should watch dubbed version and then real version. It may help you to understand movie. Try this for a month and then you may understand the movies from other month. In my opinion
Firstly, start by listening english songs. At first, see lyrics and understand the concept or story behind the song which makes the song more interesting and you’ll eventually be vibing on it. If you are a programmer, ofc you watch some sort of tutorials. Watch the tutorials in english instead of other languages. You’ll notice the changes within you slowly. Watch english movies, Read books etc.
