Diskpart is not showing the only ssd as a partition so making active task can’t be done. The thing is my laptop has got only one drive,i.e SSD. And in the installation process like shown in screenshots , the ssd where os is to be installed is not detected there for some reason.
Please select and clean the partition which you have used for ubuntu as a system drive. After that, you will get the list of your partition.
To select the partition and clean, it needs to be detected first and there is no partition showing while using diskpart command.
Maybe, Windows found it hard to override linux. Because the only ssd is root partition of ubuntu and windows is unable to show it.
As far as I know, Now there are only two ways either you have to takeout out the SSD and flash it or use an external SSD or HDD to install windows Temporary.
Create a bootable media using a windows machine.
Or if you haven’t yet deleted Ubuntu, create windows bootable media using windows VM.
If you create windows bootable media using Ubuntu, it most likely won’t work. Have faced similar issue in past.
It’s not about creating bootable usb rather this issue is after creating bootable USB from another pc with windows OS. The thing is my laptop has got only one drive,i.e SSD. And in the installation process like shown in screenshots , the ssd where os is to be installed is not detected there for some reason.
I thought the OS files might be corrupted. So it wasn’t detecting the SSD. Might be the case.
Error is speaking “missing drivers”
Flash your OS properly using “media creation tool” of microsoft to download or flash original ISO in bootable media, using your friends windows laptops or virtual machine in your Ubuntu if yet it is working fine.. this will clone genuine os from your system or Microsoft … this will fix broken packages and drivers issues…
